Acceptance of terms
By downloading or using the Palpite PRO mobile applications or visiting our website, you agree to these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and our Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
Palpite PRO lets you create and join sports prediction leagues and pools, submit match predictions, and view scoring, leaderboards, and related competition features. Features may change as the product evolves.
Third-party names, logos, and content
Palpite PRO is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any sports league, federation, association, club, team, broadcaster, or event organizer.
Names of teams, championships, tournaments, and leagues, and logos or marks displayed in the app or on this site, are used solely for identification and reference to help you follow competitions and make predictions. They remain the property of their respective owners.
We do not claim ownership of third-party marks and use them only as necessary to provide the service. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use third-party trademarks.
Entertainment only — not gambling
Palpite PRO is a free social prediction game for entertainment among friends and communities. It is not gambling, betting, or wagering.
No real-money prizes, payouts, or cash rewards are offered. Virtual points, trophies, and leaderboard rankings have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for money or goods.
You are responsible for complying with local laws regarding prediction games in your jurisdiction.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the service. You may not use the service where it is prohibited by applicable law.
Accounts
- You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- We may suspend or restrict accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service.
- You may delete your account from the mobile app (Profile → Delete account) as described in our Privacy Policy. Account deletion is not available by email request to support.
Your content
Predictions, league names, pool names, and other content you submit remain yours, but you grant us a license to store, display, and process that content to operate pools and leagues you join. Other members may see your content according to each competition's rules.
Our intellectual property
The Palpite PRO name, logo, app design, and original content are owned by Gustavo Paixao or its licensors.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-commercial license to use the app and website in accordance with these Terms. You may not reverse engineer, scrape, copy, or redistribute our intellectual property except as permitted by law.
Prohibited conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the service in violation of applicable law.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation.
- Post harassment, hate speech, or other unlawful content in display names or user content.
- Cheat, manipulate scoring, or interfere with fair competition.
- Use automated means to abuse the API or overload our systems.
- Circumvent security measures such as Apple App Attest or Google Play Integrity.
- Use the service for unauthorized commercial spam or solicitation.
- Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, data, or systems.
We may suspend or terminate access for violations of this section.
Advertising
The mobile app may display advertisements through Google AdMob and custom sponsored banners. Ads may use device advertising identifiers as described in our Privacy Policy and subject to your consent and device settings.
We do not use your predictions or other competition content to target ads. Third-party ad content is subject to the advertiser's and Google's applicable policies and is not endorsed by us.
Location
Location sharing is optional and off by default. If you turn it on, you grant device location permission and we store your approximate location only — your city, region, and country. We never store precise GPS coordinates or street-level addresses, and there is no manual entry.
This coarse location is used solely for anonymous analytics; it is not shared with third parties and is not used for advertising. You can turn location sharing off at any time in the app Settings, which deletes your stored city, region, and country; deleting your account removes it as well.
Termination and account deletion
We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms or misuse the service.
You may remove your account from the mobile app (Profile → Delete account). Deletion obfuscates personal identifiers, clears your profile photo, replaces your display name with "Unknown Account" on leaderboards and similar views, and cannot be undone. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Gustavo Paixao from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
Disclaimer and liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gustavo Paixao's liability is limited to 50 CAD for claims arising from use of Palpite PRO.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law rules that would require another jurisdiction's law.
Dispute resolution
Before starting formal proceedings, contact us using the details below to try to resolve the dispute informally.
Except where prohibited by applicable law, disputes relating to these Terms or the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Quebec, Canada.
Where permitted by law, you agree to resolve disputes individually and not as part of a class or representative action.
Nothing in this section limits mandatory consumer rights that cannot be waived in your jurisdiction.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Entire agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Gustavo Paixao regarding the service and supersede prior understandings on the same subject.
